Costa Rica Community Development Spring Break Volunteer Trip
This is your opportunity to learn about international development and put your learnings into practice while you join locally-led sustainable development projects in the stunning Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica.
Your work will be based mainly on restoration, construction and gardening. Most residents of the area are employed in the fishing industry which can be unreliable while many others are unemployed and there’s a big lack of education in the area. Given that tourism is quite big in the area and English is a must to join the industry, we also focus on providing English classes to adults in the local community of El Cocal, young people and adults in Quepos, and children as well. Construction projects, to improve community spaces and build communal gardens are also part of our work in Quepos.
- Make a contribution to high impact sustainable development projects
- Surf along the Pacific Coast
- Spot unique wildlife in the rainforests of Manuel Antonio National Park
- Experience the best of Latin American culture and have a true cultural exchange
